"Nice for the price of Niceeee" is the tagline for the redesigned 2011 Volkswagen Jetta. For an entry level mid-size sedan, a MSRP of $15,999 is certainly nice. Unheard of when it's a German engineered machine. The standard list of features makes the 2011 Jetta a very compelling choice. However, there is perhaps an unintended feature that would deter buyers - honk to stop the car.
Under certain rare circumstances using the horn could cause a short circuit that would cause an electronic part called a converter box to disconnect from the car’s power supply, a VW spokeswoman said.
Is VW trying to teach young girls driving etiquette? Or is VW trying to show Toyota how to get it done? Imagine this: if your car accelerates unintentionally, just lay on the horn and the darn thing would stop. Bad jokes asides, VW shot itself in the foot by fueling the fire of the stereotypical Volkswagen.
“German Engineering” is nice, “Hecho en Mexico” is niceeee?
